Description
The daughter of a widowed British Army officer is left at boarding school while daddy goes to fight in the Boer War. When reports from the front indicate he has been killed, the money for her education is cut off. She becomes little more than a scullery maid in her former home, and relies on her firm belief in her father's return to make the best of her unfortunate situation.
