This first set of Broadway Theatre Archives Great Performances includes the superb 1966 television adaptation by Arthur Miller of his Pulitzer Prize-winning modern tragedy, Death of a Salesman; Alice at the Palace, a "music hall" version of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland; Uncommon Women and Others, Wendy Wasserstein's play about Mount Holyoke graduates at a reunion assessing whether they have achieved their goals; and For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide, a "choreopoem" illuminating the story and struggle of black women in America in song, poetry, and dance.
