Description
Originally published in the UK in 1930, this book introduces the Walker family, the camp on Wild Cat Island, the able-bodied catboat "Swallow, " and the two intrepid Amazons, plucky Nancy and Peggy Blackett. Set in the English Lake District in the period between the two World Wars, when the world was a safer and simpler place. The children have fun sailing, camping, fishing, swimming and enjoying piratical exploits on an uncharted lake.
