Description
Recounts the grisly events of the only murder ever to take place within the Presidio, one of America's oldest and most honored military bases. Even though the victim seems random, the list of suspects is long, from the obvious to the inexplicable, setting off an investigation with a shocking climax nobody could have predicted. When a sergeant's wife is stabbed to death in her quarters, the army wants, and decidedly takes swift justice. But one internal investigations commander, James Chandler, doesn't buy the official version, and unofficially he decides to dig deeper into the case. The deeper he digs, the closer he may end up digging his own grave.
